Melissa Benua has experience in practically every position related to software development, including program management, DevOps, development, testing, and testing, at both large and small businesses. For PlayFab, Bing, Cortana, Xbox One, and now mParticle's massive data platform, she has developed and managed high availability, high-quality services. While expanding the Bing backend, Melissa fell in love with enormously scaled systems and developed the skill of maintaining highly available complicated systems while enduring severe code churn. She is now an engineering director at mParticle, and she is passionate about sharing best practices with her coworkers and the rest of the tech community in addition to increasing efficiency in her product code and developer tools.
