NBE to hire National Testing Agency to secure examination database from hacking threat

National board of examinations has hired a single testing agency 'National Testing Agency' to secure the data bases for entrance examinations like JEE, GATE, NET. This move was put forward because of the recent threats faced from hackers and chances of cheating from candidates.

The Board conducts computer based examinations some of which have to be repeated twice a year. These examinations require high technology, and proper safety measures.

Challenges the testing agency have to face will be cheating, impersonation and corruption. Almost all important examinations now face such kind of attacks. New Bio-metric systems will help to remove all of a sudden and temporary malfunction, systems require a continues security testing.

Distributing question papers with the help of digital technology will help to decrease the chances of question paper leaking and virtual private network which is extensively secured will outrun the chances of malpractices.

NBE has recently changes all the answer key checking processes from paper to computer based. They consider conducting entrance examination is not only their task but responsibility too, to find the right candidate and keep the polices.

National Testing Agency is the single source in country introducing innovative policies and guidance on testing administration.
